The last days of the CCAR Art and Culture Trip were wonderful and profound. We heard incredible Persian music, had a fashion tour, heard from both Dan Feferman and former ambassador Dan Shapiro about the new “peace plan,” visited Bet Alliance, spent erev Shabbat with our Israeli colleagues at two different Reform congregations, learned from author Doris Rabinyan, visited a master of Armenian pottery, and ended with a great meal. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know this group of colleagues and spouses, to reconnect with old friends, and to deepen our relationships to the Israel of today, the Israel behind the headlines, where real people are doing meaningful, important, and inspiring work.
